Diablo 4 Season 15 Splinters

There are two categories of Splinters introduced in Diablo 4 Season 15: Soul Splinters and Splinters of Evil. In this guide, we’ll take a look at each type of Splinter, how to obtain them, and what they do for your character. We’ll also show you how to efficiently get the Splinters of Evil (Hatred, Terror, and Destruction) by completing a specific Capstone Dungeon.

How to farm Soul Splinters

The easiest way to farm Soul Splinters is by doing Nightmare and Escalation Dungeons. You will notice each Splinter is tied to a type of Gem. That means you can target-farm these Splinters by doing Nightmare Dungeons with the Dungeon Affix Dungeon Affix that matches the Splinter. For example, if you need Soul Splinter of Anguish, you will want to run dungeons with the Ruby Reserve Dungeon Affix.

Tip: Escalation Dungeons are good for farming Splinters. When doing Escalation Dungeons, make sure the Branching PathwaysBranching Pathways node is selected in your War Plan upgrades under the Nightmare Dungeons category. Selecting this node lets you choose which dungeon affixes appear in the next dungeon, so you can pick Gem-specific ones to help target-farm.

Diablo 4 Season 15 Splinters of Evil & Prime Evil Powers

While you work through the Seasonal Questline, you will find that you can equip a Splinter of Evil to become a dark wanderer and obtain an iconic Prime Evil Power. Here’s what each Splinter does:

How to Level Up Splinters of Evil

You can level each Splinter of Evil up at Deckard’s Table, as you normally would with any seasonal objective. When you max out one Splinter, you can right-click another Splinter of Evil to equip it, begin maxing out the next one, and collect all the reputation rewards. However, remember, this will consume the Splinter. If you want to switch back, you’ll have to farm another one.

You may have also heard that these Splinters of Evil have other uses. Putting all three into the Horadric Cube creates Wirt’s Lucky Coins Wirt’s Lucky Coins, which are used at the Tristram Fountain to open a Mystery Portal, fight the Three Prime Evils, and obtain the Hellfire Torch.

How to get the Splinter of Hatred, Terror, and Destruction

The Splinters of Evil can drop anywhere in the world, but they are exceedingly rare. The most efficient way to acquire the Splinters of Destruction, Hatred, and Terror is by completing the Torment X versions of the corresponding Capstone Dungeons for Baal, Diablo, and Mephisto. It is important to be able to comfortably farm Torment XII difficulty before attempting to farm the Splinters for efficiency’s sake.

That said, the current best method to acquire the Splinters of Destruction, Hatred, and Terror is to complete the Baal Capstone Dungeon in Fractured Peaks, Diablo II - Worldstone Keep (Hell).

Worldstone Keep (Hell) location in Fractured Peaks

You can clear a Baal run anywhere from 2-4 minutes with a satisfactory build and gear. Considering Mephisto and Diablo runs take quite a long time, this is by far the best way to get the three Splinters of Prime Evils.

How to get to Tristram in Diablo 4 Season 15

Go to the Imperial Library waypoint Imperial Library waypoint on the Kehjistan map in Kehjistan. At the waypoint, you will see Deckard Cain, along with a portal to Deckard’s Memory Deckard’s Memory portal. If you do not see the portal, collect all ten of Deckard’s Journals, then speak with Deckard to open it.
